DOES it really make sense for Obama to choose Cairo as a launching pad of his America-Arab cum Islam foreigh policy ? Does Egypt have the democratic and human rights credentials to have such an honour ? What does this mean ? Indeed, politics has no permanent friends or enemies but not so with plicies and principles. There is something amiss here.
Similarly, why are African countries still accepting Addis Ababa with all that infamy and human rights abuse going there ? Are we afraid of incurring new costs of shifting the AU headquarter to a land that reflects true wishes and aspirations of African people and not of a petty dictator and invader of other nations ?
